Speakers

Christy Ottaviano – Editorial Director, Christy Ottaviano Books, Henry Holt & Company

After 15 years in the editorial department at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, Christy Ottaviano launched her own imprint in 2008. She acquires and edits the full range of children's books, from preschool readers through teens. Her goal is to develop new talent and help to shape writers and artists into prominent presences among readers. Recent books include "Bridget's Beret," by Tom Lichtenheld, and "Black Magic," by Dinah Johnson and R. Gregory Christie. Both got Booklist starred reviews.

Barney Saltzberg –Children's Book Author/Illustrator/Singer/Songwriter

Barney has written and illustrated many books for children including the best selling "Animal Kisses," "Baby Animal Kisses," (Children's Book of the Month Club main selection) and "Peekaboo Kisses." Barney's latest book is "All Around the Seasons." He will inspire us with great ideas for enhancing the text of the book. And we'll have fun.
